There was no other way to capture this ship; I had to shoot it across the harbor at nearly 3 miles distance. All other ground vantage points are on private property and fenced in. This is where a drone would come in handy!
About:
“Spiekeroog” is an interesting name. I thought maybe it was Swedish. But researching it, the name is German. Makes sense, as the owner is German. Spiekeroog is the name of one of the East Frisian Islands, off the North Sea coast of Germany. It is a quaint island, very traditional, and vehicle-free (except for service vehicles). Locals can however use small electrical vehicles.
